2022 Inspections, Is CVC READY?

2022 Inspections, Is CVC READY?

Amidst the pandemic which has heavily affected all of us along with the unending lockdown series in the Philippines, students all around the country have been voicing out as their eagerness to return to their respective schools grow upon varied reasons regarding the online setup.

With trends starting from #BakitBukasAngPasyalanPeroSaradoAngPaaralan to limiting the scope within Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus’ students tweeting “Ibalik niyo na kami sa Bundok” and “F2F Cutie” after the reveal of the newly built Library and Canteen with the most majestic view overlooking Bayombong, it really comes to show that this pandemic hindered a lot of memories for both students and teachers.

However, at long last, back on January 13, 2022, the Inspection of PSHS-CVC for possible limited Face-to-Face classes commenced. This undertaking was led by Dr. Jerra Dalanao, the MHO Team, and the PNP Team of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. According to Dr. Harold Gallo, CID Chief of PSHS-CVC, the standards that served as the basis in recognizing whether the school is ready for face-to-face instruction or not were emanated from the guidelines set by the MHO, LGU, and IATF alongside some references from the DepEd guidelines. This, therefore, includes implementing minimum health protocols, the presence of facilities to cater the scholars, handwashing areas, and the use of PPEs inside the campus, as stated by Maam Joy Lyzette Carreon, the official school nurse of PSHS-CVC.

Apart from that, guidelines were also given to the inspecting team provided by the school. As explained by Dr. Gallo, this was done through thorough planning within PSHSS along with consultation among parents and stakeholders. “The framework of this provided guideline was crafted by the 16 campuses and was approved by the PSHS Board of Trustees as well as the National IATF”, he added.

In conclusion, the overall process gone through by CVC and the whole PSHSS as well was tedious but circumstances come inevitably and it may lead to times where you may need to hold off yet with trust and compliance we will surely win this battle against the invisible enemy.
